What I learned in RCA    

     I learned some things connect with reading academic text. First is the Cause and effect. I didn’t care about the connection between cause and effect before learning this strategy, however it became helpful skill not only to read academic text but also to write the academic paper because it can clear the reason and I can make the strong opinion supported. Second is the how to read the text included unknown words. When I read the text and there are some unknown words, I always research the meaning or definition as soon as possible without guessing the meaning. However, if I think about the connection between the sentences of the word, I can guess the definition of the word. It is very useful skill and I always to try to guess before using dictionary.

     In addition to that, I learned how to do the short or long presentation and the preparation. In the ELA class, there are a lot of presentations and discussions to it. RCA also have some presentation from group to individual. Each presentation has a preparation and we have to do the time management at the same time in the presentation. I became to good at doing those things and this skill help me at everywhere. I thought this skill is what I really want to get. I please to get the skill in ELA class.

    There are any difficulties in the learning strategies because there are many new things that I don’t know, however, it absolutely necessary for us. I will use those strategy that I learned in the class of RCA

My opinion and reflection to Ogata and Cells

Human security is the big issue in these days because there are some affaire connect with it, for example, the accident of ISIS and the same sexual marriage. In the text, we should be protected by the fear or threat however state is not necessarily ensure the safety of individuals and community. I learned this and though that we should think about the safety of ourselves more seriously because Japanese tend to be optimistic to the danger.

Reading process

     In my reading, I always use the strategy of summary. Of cause, to research the unknown word and read text fluently is the base strategy to read, but to summarize the each paragraph or main point is most important for me. There are several reasons to support my opinion.

     First is that it makes us easy to read the text or content again. To summarize the paragraph also makes us easy to understand at the sight of it. Indeed, when I looked the text before taking test of the textbook, the summary was very useful to study for test.

     Second is that doing summary can help us to deepen our knowledge about the text. Summarizing let us think about the text more deeply because we cannot write down without the understanding of the paragraph. We cannot escape from thinking. From those reasons, I always use the strategy of summary.

     Additionally, In my opinion, my summary skill is good. I always care about that the summary will be settled in 3 to 4 sentences because too many sentences is difficult to understand at the sight of summary. However, I also care about the content of summary. To include the main point is most important and to change the difficult word to easy is also important part for me. Therefore, the evaluation to m summary skill is good.

Presentation preparation process

     In my research to the presentation, I used the web because it is easy to find the article relates on the issue. I research the example connect with our group issue to promote the audiences understanding. Additionally to that, I made effort to find the more specific detail, for example the article that has a graph. Let the audience be interested in our presentation is also important things, therefore I chose the recent issue at the same time. The information which I chose for our presentation was good because the article connected with the text clearly and absolutely it became to help people to promote their knowledge about the our area.

     I did not satisfy with our presentation because we could not do the enough rehearsal to do our presentation more fluently. Our research to the presentation was good, but we could not meet and do the preparation together with any reasons. If we could prepare more, we could do the better presentation. However, I satisfied with the part of presentation that is the contents of it. Our content was very deep and got to the point of the text. Therefore, I could please my presentation in the part of it. 

My opinions to Wennberg study

In my opinion, euthanasia should not be legalized by the law even if there are any painful things or fear to death. We have a fear to death and desire to die without painful. Of cause, it is important things and I also think something like that. However, If the euthanasia was allowed, we cant concrete the border to any types of desire. Some affaire will be cased by the legalization of it. As the opinion of people who demand the euthanasia, there are some painful not only physical, but the aspects of mental. In deed, Wennberg stated in the textbook page 17-3, and this type of painful increase the people who want to die as euthanasia. However, death is the kind of destiny and It is inevitable for us. We need to think about our life more seriously, and make effort to establish the society that people cannot die easy.
